Hair Saloon Partners with Pujols Family Foundation
For the second year in a row, Hair Saloon was happy to provide complimentary haircuts to the young men attending the Pujols Family Foundation’s Fall Prom. This organization is one of the best around and they do great things to enrich the lives of young men and women living with Down Syndrome… one event they host could be considered the best party around — their Fall Prom. They have a red carpet, photo booths, a live band, great food from local purveyors, Fred Bird pays a visit, and, of course, lots of dancing! We are very grateful to be able to support such a great event and organization.
We heard from a few of the grateful parents of the young men:
Bill Fankhauser, Father of Josh Fankhauser
Thank you for the free haircut for my Son Josh. He and I are regular customers at the Hair Saloon, but the free haircut was great. The best part, was the conversation had with his barber about Prom and his excitement about going. It is also nice to know there are those out there that care and want to support the Special Needs community. We look forward to coming back for our next haircut and Thank You for your support and caring! God’s Blessings!
Candace Tatum, Mother of Marcus Ming
Thank you so much for the Hair Saloon haircut. Marcus truly enjoyed the experience. And it really came at a time when money was short and it really wasn’t in the budget. We really appreciate the PFF and The Hair Saloon for a wonderful gift and a awesome haircut.
Shirley Hemminghaus, Mother of Gary Hemminghaus
Gary thoroughly enjoyed getting his hair cut at Hair Saloon! He requested a haircut “just like Jhonny Peralta’s” (Cardinals shortstop). And, that’s what he got! The complimentary haircut was such a nice touch! The stylists were all so warm and friendly, and their being “pretty girls,” according to Gary, didn’t hurt, either! Thanks so much for providing this service to our special young men!
We’re grateful for organizations like the Pujols Family Foundation and are happy to support them. They have posted some great photos of their event on their facebook page… go check ’em out and see the smiles on everyone’s faces.
