Pittsburgh marks the second franchise outside the St. Louis market
St. Louis, Mo., Sept 7, 2017 – Hair Saloon has awarded a new multi-unit franchise agreement that will bring the St. Louis brand to Pittsburgh. The announcement follows a series of growth initiatives for the company, which is celebrating its 20th year in business in 2017. Earlier this year, Hair Saloon revealed plans to open additional saloons in St. Louis and expand outside the St. Louis market to Louisville, Kentucky with another multi-unit franchise agreement. The Pittsburgh franchise group, owned by Craig and Kay Fowler, expects to open their first Hair Saloon in early 2018.
“After exploring many different types of franchises, we were ultimately drawn to Hair Saloon’s model and their value proposition,” says Craig Fowler. “It’s a comfortable, wholesome atmosphere where men of all ages receive a premium experience at an affordable price. The Fowlers’ goal is to open three saloons in the Pittsburgh market within the next few years. While exact locations have not yet been identified, they are exploring several sites in the North Pittsburgh area.

Prior to becoming a Hair Saloon franchisee, Fowler spent over 21 years with Verizon, with his last role being a Director of Operations for a call center group.

While Hair Saloon has been expanding beyond St. Louis, there has been a great deal of activity in the company’s home market in 2017. A new saloon opened at Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend in July, and the newly relocated flagship saloon opened at 473 Lafayette Center on September 5th.
